Aldrick Robinson moves into 49ers starting lineup vs. Cardinals, Jaquiski Tartt moves to FS

The 49ers injury report is adding up, and it means we get some lineup changes.

Fooch’s update: According to the beat writers, Erik Magnuson is warming up at right tackle with the starters. That would appear to suggest he will make his first career start, in place of Zane Beadles. Normal right tackle Trent Brown will start at left tackle in place of Joe Staley, who is out with an orbital fracture.

The San Francisco 49ers are dealing with a host of injuries, and it is shaking up the starting lineup. The team placed wide receiver Pierre Garçon and free safety Jimmie Ward on injured reserve, and that is resulting in some significant changes.

Per Chris Biderman, The 49ers announced that Aldrick Robinson will replace Garçon in the starting lineup opposite Marquise Goodwin. Trent Taylor will remain the slot receiver, but I expect to see a lot of Kendrick Bourne, and probably some Victor Bolden as well.

Jaquiski Tartt will replace Ward at free safety. This also means that Eric Reid will likely move back to his strong safety role. Kyle Shanahan said this was a real possibility following Ward’s injury, and this all but confirms it. The 49ers were attempting to move him to weak side linebacker, but injuries and the return of Reuben Foster mean he will go back to the position where he has had a lot more success. This could be a big help in containing Adrian Peterson.
