49ers are a slim favorite against the Giants

It’s safe to say this is the only game in which they will be favored.

The San Francisco 49ers lost yet another game on Sunday, and now sit at 0-9 on the season. They will host the New York Giants in Week 10, in a matchup of truly awful teams. And for the first time this year, the 49ers are actually favored. The line has opened with the 49ers installed as a one-point favorite, according to Odds Shark.

The Giants sit at 1-7, and are showing no significant signs of life right now. Their offensive line is a mess, and their defense is not much better. The Giants were destroyed by the Los Angeles Rams in Week 9, losing 51-17. Evan Engram and Sterling Shepard each had 70 yards receiving, but it was too little too late. The Rams were up 27-10 at halftime, and put the game away with 21 unanswered points in the second half.

This is a truly atrocious matchup. It very well could end up surprising us with some fun football, but these are two awful teams preparing to square off this Sunday at Levi’s Stadium. It’s safe to say it will be dress like a chair day in Santa Clara.
