Today, Jimmy Garoppolo and a bunch of other people who aren’t Jimmy Garoppolo will take the football field to face the Houston Texans. I have great faith in Garoppolo’s ability, and not much faith in everyone else’s ability. Fortunately, they have Garoppolo to lean on, and that’s something we all should aspire to have.
Alright ... that’s a a bit unfair. Joe Staley is a pretty good player, too. Carlos Hyde is good sometimes. Robbie Gould is pretty solid even late into his career. I suppose there are probably other players on the 49ers, on top of that. But it seems like Garoppolo is the biggest name, and for good reason. I’m excited to see what he can do over the next four games.
Hopefully, the 49ers can keep him clean in the pocket. I’m more worried than is probably rational about an injury to Garoppolo at this stage. Fingers crossed. Knock on wood. Onto your links for the day.
