Congratulations are in order to a few members of the San Francisco 49ers. The NFL announced rosters for the 2018 Pro Bowl and Kyle Juszczyk is the lone member of the 49ers to earn a spot. He was voted in as the starting fullback for the NFC.
Fooch’s update: The 49ers announced that kicker Robbie Gould, running back Carlos Hyde, and offensive tackles Joe Staley and Trent Brown were named as alternates.
We are awaiting word on alternates, and I imagine Joe Staley is a potential alternate. Hopefully someone like DeForest Buckner is also in the mix. The 49ers have not had a great year, but they have had some standout players that are worthy of some recognition.
It is always worth noting that rosters will change between now and January 28, when the Pro Bowl goes down in Orlando. Injuries and “injuries” will result in players dropping out. Whomever is playing in Super Bowl 52 the following week will drop out as well. There is a decent chance one or two more 49ers are added in after the fact.
