The holidays are upon us, and earlier today, and the best gift San Francisco 49ers could have received arrived the night before Halloween. The 49ers traded a second round pick to the New England Patriots for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. It was a stunning move, and in the nearly two months since, I don’t know that this situation could be developing any better.
On Monday, head coach Kyle Shanahan was asked if he he has considered what to get the Patriots for Christmas. He said, “No, I haven't, but definitely they're on my good side right now.”
I think the second round pick is enough of a physical gift, but we can still show our appreciation! I received a tweet earlier today from someone who put a Christmas card in the mail to the Patriots. You can check it out below.
