Put that man in the Hall of Fame!

Fooch’s update: Gore has since added 24 more yards to pass Ladainian Tomlinson. Frank Gore is now the No. 5 all-time rusher in NFL history.

Frank Gore continues his march toward immortality! The former San Francisco 49ers running back passed Jerome Bettis on the all-time rushing leaderboard. Gore entered the day needing 27 yards to pass Bettis, and he is already up to 36 yards. Next up on the all-time leaderboard is Ladainian Tomlinson, who is 12 yards ahead of Gore.

Here is a GIF of the run that put him over Bettis.

Gore continues to chug along, and seems like he could be back for another crack at things next year. Gore has previously said he assesses how he feels in the offseason, and if he can keep up with the young players in his offseason training program, he’ll come back the next season.

Gore continues his pursuit for a Super Bowl ring, coming off yet another disappointing team season in Indianapolis. Andrew Luck’s shoulder kept him from ever taking the field, and much of the roster has been a disaster. Gore is a free agent after this season, and while I would love to see him finish his career with the 49ers, I would be comfortable with him signing with a team that has a strong chance at a Super Bowl.
