Fooch’s update No. 2: Pete Carroll denied he is considering retirement.
People talking about retirement... I ain’t old enough to think about retiring!

Fooch’s update: This is apparently the full Jay Glazer quotation.
Before anyone jumps the gun on a headline, this was Glazer's actual quote on Carroll while running through a segment on all coaches:

"It's gonna be Pete's decision whether or not he moves on, they could be in a rebuilding year here, but Pete may or may not actually retire."
The Seattle Seahawks have had a bit of a circus this season, and really a circus for some time now. Things have been choppy this year, and with injuries and potential free agency departures, we could see big changes in the Pacific Northwest. And the biggest one might involve Pete Carroll.
@JayGlazer saying that #Seahawks HC Pete Carroll *may* retire at the end of the season. Says decision is up to him.

Albert Breer mentioned the notion of Carroll retiring in his Black Monday primer. He wrote it mostly as speculation, but it sounded a bit like informed speculation.
Crazy? Maybe. But with the future of several big defensive stars in question, and a possible overhaul of the roster coming, could Pete Carroll, 66, retire to southern California? It’s not the wildest idea out there.
Until something like this actually happens, I am inclined to take it with the proverbial grain of salt. The timing does make sense with the closing of their window, but as long as they have Russell Wilson, they’ll have a puncher’s chance. But just imagine if Pete Carroll did decide to walk away from it all?
