The NFL is coming down the home stretch, as we enter the final quarter of the season. Week 13 came to a close on Monday as the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cincinnati Bengals to maintain their three-game lead on the Baltimore Ravens. The Bengals meanwhile, dropped two games back of the second wild card berth.
We’re back with Week 14 NFL power rankings as the San Francisco 49ers managed their second win of the season. They beat a bad Chicago Bears team, and while that does not get them a huge boost, they do get a slight move up in my weekly power rankings. I moved them ahead of the Bears and Denver Broncos. I think the 49ers are better than the Indianapolis Colts as well, but for now, the Colts win gives them the edge.
The Philadelphia Eagles saw their win streak snapped, and now sit tied with the Minnesota Vikings at 10-2. Philadelphia travels to face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 14, offering a potential playoff preview. I actually think the Rams could thump Philadelphia, but hopefully we get a fun matchup between the top two picks of the 2016 NFL Draft.
I would actually consider the Rams ahead of the Saints, Panthers, and Seahawks on the NFC side of things. There is a tight bunch however, and most of them rank ahead of the much of the AFC at this point. The Patriots are the class of the AFC right now. The Steelers, Jaguars, and Ravens could all give them trouble, but there seems to be just enough separation for the time being. On the NFC side of things, I really could see any of the likely six playoff teams coming out of the conference for the Super Bowl.
Here’s what our Week 14 power rankings look like.
