Good morning everyone. Things are moving quick for the San Francisco 49ers, which means very soon things are going to get very, very slow. The first annoyingly slow part of the offseason is almost upon us. The NFL Scouting Combine is good for a little bit of attention but overall, things are going to get boring until free agency and the NFL Draft.
Of course, the 49ers still have some things to do. They still need to bring in a defensive coordinator and, of course, there are looming contract matters that will need to be addressed before the start of free agency. The future of Colin Kaepernick is the most pressing issue, as both he and the team can choose to part ways.
My gut says the 49ers don’t want to part ways, as I can’t see them spending big on free agency. They’ll pay Kaepernick the money. The bigger question is whether or not Kaepernick wants to stay. If I had to guess, I’d think not but anything is possible.
Onto your links for the day.
