NaVorro Bowman, Carlos Hyde remain in NFLPA Top 50 merchandise sales

The 49ers are coming off an awful season, but they still have some solid merchandise sales.

The NFLPA announced on Thursday the top 50 players in merchandise sales for the period running March 1 to November 30, 2016, and the San Francisco 49ers have two players on the list. Linebacker NaVorro Bowman (No. 33) and running back Carlos Hyde (No. 48) were on the list. Tom Brady, Ezekiel Elliott, Dez Bryant, Odell Beckham, Jr., and Carson Wentz were the top five players.

The 49ers are in the early stages of a rebuilding process, but with the No. 2 pick in the upcoming draft, they will land somebody fairly high profile. It would not surprise me if that rookie shot up the list fairly quickly. Early struggles might slow that down, but we’ll see what the season brings.

My favorite piece of information is that Carson Wentz led the league in pet jerseys. He was followed by Rob Gronkowski, Odell Beckham Jr., and Tom Brady. Philly fans love their pets and football, I suppose.

Here’s the full list, and you can read more details here.
