Golden Nuggets: NFL Scouting Combine is nearly here

Sunday, February 26th, 2017 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Good morning folks. The NFL Scouting Combine is coming up in a couple days and I hope you all are ready for some garbage takes and some severe overreacting. It’s been awhile since we’ve had those — outside of you know, every move the San Francisco 49ers have made to this point — and they’re always good way to start the offseason.

I don’t get much from the combine other than absorbing the general football-ness of the whole thing. Players who impress at the combine can put themselves on your radar if they weren’t there previously, but honestly it should never be a place where stock massively rises or falls, short of players completely bombing on the private interview part.

And there are always enough garbage takes from ANONYMOUS SCOUT and ANONYMOUS INSIDER when it comes to those kinds of things. I’m excited and looking forward to the whole show, good and bad. Onto the links, ya’ll!
