Golden Nuggets: Good luck in the Super Bowl, Kyle Shanahan

Sunday, February 5th, 2017 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Good morning everyone, Happy Super Bowl Day! The Atlanta Falcons will play the New England Patriots as the San Francisco 49ers came up just short of making the playoffs. There may be a bit of sarcasm there, but hopefully we’re treated to a good game because it will be the only worthwhile professional football for a long time.

There is also Kyle Shanahan, of course, and 49ers fans would like to see him call a great game before joining the team as its new head coach. Plus, the fact that Tom Brady is a huge [site decorum], so it sure would be nice to see a Falcons victory.

On Saturday, the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2017 was announced and it was an absolute travesty. Sadly, it sounds like there are a lot of old, crotchety people who felt insulted by Terrell Owens and thus are denying him a spot. Owens deserves it and it’s silly to suggest otherwise. And he didn’t even make it to the final 10 before they cut it down for the last time.

Shameful, really. Onto your links for the day.
