Continuing on with our Scouting 49ers Scouts - pro day edition, we move on to March 10th workouts, where a few notable prospects impressed yesterday in front of 49ers' scouts. Keep in mind, although it's unlikely to track every pro day (9 scheduled yesterday) representatives from the 49ers will/have attend(ed) throughout the process, we will pass along those visits the team has been reported to be represented.

On Friday, March 10th, scouts for the 49ers attended pro days at Rutgers, Auburn, Northern Illinois, and Army.

Rutgers

Per Ryan Dunleavy, Rutgers beat reporter, 49ers Regional Scout Tariq Ahmed was in attendance at Rutgers pro day. Ahmed was the former recruiting coordinator for Rutgers, and was seen working out the offensive linemen during the pro day. Speaking of offensive lineman, Rutgers OG Chris Muller impressed scouts on hand with his strength performing a bench press of 34 reps. He finished the day running a 5.10 40, 29" vertical jump, 9'2" broad jump, 4.83 20-yard shuttle, and a 6.78 3-cone. Muller is a durable prospect (started 49 consecutive games) and is continuing to improve upon his technique with a chance to be selected in the late rounds-priority free agent realm.

Auburn

The 49ers were 1 of 32 teams in attendance for Auburn's pro day. Edge Carl Lawson and DT Montravius Adams headlined the group of prospects. Lawson, a first round candidate and Leo option for the 49ers, stood on his NFL Scouting Combine numbers and worked out on position drills. Lawson displays good size, a thick and stout muscular frame, explosiveness off the edge with excellent speed, flexibility (nice bend), agility, and change of direction skills. He is very athletic and strong with a relentless pursuit to the ball carrier. Showcases a tremendous quick first-step and a consistent high-motor always running hot. He is very strong at the point of attack and quite simply, a dominant disrupter on the field. Check out Lawson's pro day workout below.

Northern Illinois

49ers Regional Scout Steve Rubio was in attendance for Northern Illinois' pro day. 6'4" - 218 pound WR Kenny Golladay was the top draw for the pro day event. Golladay stood on his combine numbers and ran routes at his pro day. Golladay displays terrific size/length with a very large catching radius and reliable hands (had a nice one-handed catch at his pro day). He's one to keep an eye on around the 5th round.

Army

Per John Shideler, who covers Army athletics for Time Warner Cable News, a 49ers scout was in attendance at Army's pro day. The prospect to keep an eye on here is ILB Andrew King. King ran a 4.61 40, a 38.5" vertical jump, 9'10" broad jump, a 4.32 20-yard shuttle, a 7.02 3-cone, and 17 reps on the bench press. King is a physical and disciplined box inside linebacker with good bulk ability and strength to take on runs at the point of attack maintaining sound leverage separating with hands and making tackles hitting with explosion. The former high school wrestler (also played lacrosse) and weight room junkie displays excellent strength, power, foot speed, agility, and balance shooting gaps attacking downhill with great closing speed.

King displays solid instincts (high football IQ) reading run keys and has the play speed to track down and eliminate ball carriers. A tremendous leader of the team (served as platoon leader and honor officer), King boasts a superior work ethic, a team first attitude, and a relentless and unstoppable motor. Likely to stay committed to military aspirations determined to attend law school after a tour of infantry duty following his graduation; however, he will have options if the NFL knocks on his door. He's an option in the 7th round to priority free agent realm.
