Spike Lee thinks Jets should sign Colin Kaepernick, while team meets with Josh McCown, Chase Daniel

New, comments

Quarterbacks and pizza. New York does one of them well.

We have another celebrity weighing in on the Colin Kaepernick situation! Spike Lee was hanging out with Kaepernick over the weekend in Little Italy, and Spike was not pleased with Kap’s situation. He tweeted out that something is up and his New York Jets need to sign Kaepernick.

The timing of this is fitting. The Jets brought in quarterback Josh McCown over the weekend. He left without a deal, and the Jets are now scheduled to meet with Chase Daniel, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The Jets current quarterback depth chart includes Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg. So, yea, they need a quarterback.

The truly important question is whether or not Spike and Kap went to Prince Street Pizza. It’s technically a few blocks north of Little Italy, but it was definitely walking distance from them. It’s a bit touristy, but it is far and away the best Sicilian pizza I’ve ever had. New York residents might have other recommendations, but it was ridiculously good. It is a tiny place with only a couple areas to eat your pizza inside. Pretty much everybody has to eat it outside. There was a sizable line, but it went quickly.

I do hope that Colin Kaepernick is able to land an opportunity somewhere, but the real value of this article is that I cannot recommend Prince Street Pizza enough. Well, that and the fact that the Jets quarterback situation remains a dumpster fire. That’s always fun to watch.
