Malik Hooker has some ridiculous hands

His work with the JUGS machine is ridiculous.

The San Francisco 49ers have been regularly connected to Ohio State safety Malik Hooker in mock drafts. The hope is that he could a guy who could fill a center-field role in a vein similar to that of Earl Thomas in the Seattle Seahawks defense. When you’re getting Ed Reed comparisons, something is obviously looking pretty good.

On Friday, Hooker tweeted out a video that will only add to the hype. It’s a short vide of him catching balls from a JUGS machine. We see pass catchers work with the JUGS machine, but there is obviously some value for defensive players.

Plenty of players can do good things with the JUGS machine, but Hooker’s video is particularly impressive as he makes three successive one-handed catches. I realize there is a lot more to playing in the secondary, but this is still really impressive.
