We officially have hit the next phase of the draft season - Pro Days. All throughout the month of March, and into the first week of April, NFL scouts, coaches, and GM's will be crisscrossing the nation attending various pro day workouts. Although it's unlikely to track every pro day representatives from the 49ers will/have attend(ed) throughout the process, we will pass along those visits the team has been reported to attend.

On Tuesday, March 7th, and Wednesday, March 8th, scouts for the 49ers attended pro days at Purdue, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Temple, Colorado State, Alabama, Colorado, and Eastern Kentucky.

Purdue's pro day was attended by Regional Scout Steve Rubio. The highlight of the day was the performance of NFL Scouting Combine snub WR DeAngelo Yancey, who measured in at 6'1 5/8" - 220 pounds and ran a 4.46 40, a 35.5" vertical jump, a 10'1" broad jump, a 4.24 in the 20-yard shuttle, a 6.89 in the 3-cone, and 21 reps on the bench press. Marion University's WR Krishawn Hogan (attended the NFL Scouting Combine) was also in attendance at Purdue's pro day.

Following Rubio's March 7th visit at Purdue, the next day Rubio was at Eastern Kentucky's pro day.

Matt Barrows reported Oklahoma's Pro Day was attended by Regional Scout Bob Morris. All attention was on RB Joe Mixon, who was barred from attending the NFL Scouting Combine last week. Mixon posted a 4.43 40, a 35" vertical jump, a 4.25 in the 20-yard shuttle, a 7.00 in the 3-cone, and 21 reps on the bench press. WR Dede Westbrook also impressed with a blazing 4.34 40.

As expected, Alabama's pro day was jam packed with scouts, coaches, and team executives. Although we don't know who represented the 49ers at the event, Fooch wrote about the 49ers having a one-on-one meeting with the highly talented DT Jonathan Allen.

Earlier in the day (March 8th), 49ers NFS (National Football Scouting representative) Scout Kyle O'Dell attended Colorado State's pro day. Later in the day, O'Dell traveled a bit south to also attend Colorado's pro day. Northern Colorado's QB Kyle Sloter was also in attendance at Colorado's pro day. I had a brief twitter exchange with Kyle Sloter and he mentioned the 49ers were not present at Northern Colorado's pro day (March 7th), but he was hopeful and eager to meet with 49ers' scouts at Colorado's pro day. You can view some of Sloter's game film here.
