The San Francisco 49ers kick off their offseason workout program on Monday. It is a voluntary program until the mandatory minicamp in June, and players do not earn a salary for the workout program. The CBA dictates that players receive a payment of $215 per day during the program, based on meeting certain requirements.
There are plenty of instances where veterans will stay home and continue whatever workouts they have been handling through the offseason. However, a lot of contracts involve a workout bonus based on a certain attendance level. The 49ers have 26 players who will receive a bonus. Tramaine Brock was set to before his release on Friday. Here’s a full list of the workout bonuses players will receive, courtesy of Jason Hurley.
