Deshaun Watson visiting 49ers Monday, Tuesday

The 49ers continue their QB prospect diligence.

The San Francisco 49ers kick off their offseason workout program on Monday, but there is some other big news out of Santa Clara. The team is hosting Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson on Monday and Tuesday, according to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport. The 49ers already put Watson through a private workout at Clemson the week of March 20.

Watson has a full dance card this month. He is traveling to meet with the Arizona Cardinals after this visit. He has also had visits with the Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars. He has plenty of private workouts mixed in as well.

The 49ers are doing plenty of due diligence when it comes to quarterbacks. They were on hand for Pro Days involving Mitchell Trubisky, DeShone Kizer, and Patrick Mahomes. They have had meetings with all three quarterbacks, and have an official visit also planned with Trubisky.

There has been less said about prospects further down the food chain. Cal’s Davis Webb has not been connected to the team, and Matt Maiocco is reporting Webb will not be on hand for the 49ers local Pro Day on Wednesday. Names like Webb, Brad Kaaya, Nathan Peterman, and others are not showing up on the radar thus far.
