49ers preseason schedule 2017: One nationally televised game

The 49ers four-game preseason schedule is set. Some familiar opponents, and some new ones.

Welcome to another big offseason benchmark! The NFL announced the 2017 preseason schedule Monday afternoon, which means we are a little closer to football, and that much closer to the announcement of the regular season schedule. Expect the regular season schedule in about two weeks. It usually happens a week or so before the Draft, which is scheduled for April 27-29.

We get a couple familiar opponents, with the 49ers hosting the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers. The 49ers and Broncos have had joint practices the past two seasons in Denver. Given John Lynch’s history with John Elway, it would not surprise me if the 49ers hold a joint practice with the Broncos in Santa Clara.

Finally, the 49ers will travel to face the Minnesota Vikings on a nationally televised game on August 27. The remaining three games do not have dates yet.

Here is the full list of 49ers regular season opponents:

Week of Aug 10-14: @ Kansas City Chiefs
Week of Aug 17-21: vs. Denver Broncos
August 27: @ Minnesota Vikings, 5 p.m. PT, NBC
Week of Aug 31-Sep 1: vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Home: Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Carolina Panthers, Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks

Away: Philadelphia Eagles, Washington, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears, Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks
