2017 NFL schedule expected to be released Thursday, April 20, per Detroit Lions president

Other than the mandatory TNF game, will the 49ers end up with any other prime time games?

The Detroit Lions had an official unveiling of new uniforms for 2017, and they held a Q&A after the event. During the latter session, the team’s president said the 2017 regular season schedule will be released next Thursday, April 20.

We know the 49ers will play 16 games, and one of the games will air on Thursday Night Football. Other than that, it is hard to tell what kind of love the 49ers will get from the league. It’s been a rough couple years, so it would not be surprising to see the 49ers get no other nationally televised games.

On the other hand, the 49ers are coming off two straight seasons where they got the Week 1 late Monday Night Football game, only to have to travel to the eastern time zone for Week 2 Sunday. Will we see that for a third straight year, or will we see that change this year?

Here’s the 49ers full list of opponents:

Home: Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Carolina Panthers, Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks

Away: Philadelphia Eagles, Washington, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears, Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks
