49ers held official visits with handful of players this week

We now know of 24 of the 49ers official pre-draft visits.

The NFL allows teams 30 official visits, and this year they have until the Wednesday a week before the draft to complete their visits. The 49ers finished with a flurry according to multiple reports.

Yahoo! Sports NFL writer Eric Edholm reported on Tuesday that the team brought in Connecticut safety Obi Melifonwu for a visit on Tuesday. Matt Barrows is now reporting that on Wednesday the 49ers brought in LSU running back Leonard Fournette (previously reported), Iowa tight end George Kittle, Michigan safety Jabrill Peppers, and Florida cornerback Teez Tabor.

With that, we now know of 24 pre-draft visits. Most are media reports, while a few were confirmed by the team. We probably won’t find out most of the final six names, but this gives us a strong idea of the players brought in.

It is entirely possible the 49ers do not draft a single one of the players brought in for an official visit. That being said, below is the full list of players. The most notable thing on this is the lack of any wide receiver visits. The team has worked out some day two and three options, but we are not seeing any reports of bringing any in for an official visit.
