The 2017 NFL draft finished up day two, and with four rounds remaining, the San Francisco 49ers have six picks remaining. They have one in the fourth round, two in the fifth and sixth rounds, and one in the seventh round. The first pick comes up at No. 143. They are the 36th pick of the round, so they have a little bit of waiting to do.
The team addressed defense with their first three picks, and added a quarterback with their fourth pick. The 49ers still have plenty of needs left, and some quality talent remains on the board. SB Nation’s Dan Kadar has updated his top 100 list, showing us the players still remaining on the board. That group includes the following:
Carl Lawson, DE, Auburn
Caleb Brantley, DL, Florida
Desmond King, CB, Iowa
Chad Hansen, WR, California
Carlos Watkins, DT, Clemson
Dorian Johnson, G, Pittsburgh
Bucky Hodges, TE, Virginia Tech
Samaje Perine, RB, Oklahoma
Roderick Johnson, OT, Florida State
Adam Bisnowaty, OT, Pittsburgh
Ejuan Price, DE, Pittsburgh
Jordan Leggett, TE, Clemson
Corn Elder, CB, Miami
Jaleel Johnson, DT, Iowa
Dede Westbrook, WR, Oklahoma
On the offensive side of the ball, the team could use some offensive line, tight end, and running back depth. Guys like RB Samaje Perine, TE Jordan Leggett, and OG Dorian Johnson all could be intriguing. The team worked out Chad Hansen during their workout with Davis Webb. On defense, Carl Lawson is an intriguing edge-setting option, although he likely will be gone.
Do any names still jump out at you heading into the fourth round?
