The San Francisco 49ers drafted Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster in the first round of the 2017 NFL draft, and to say he was excited is an understatement. At his intro press conference on Friday, Foster said he grew up a 49ers fan, and particularly a fan of Patrick Willis.
It turns out he even owned 49ers gear when he was younger. Back in 2013, he tweeted out a photo from Thanksgiving wearing a 49ers winter beanie. A quality choice. In addition, he found an old 49ers letterman jacket he bought a few years back.
We hear about players saying they are fans of their new team, but it’s cool to see this goes back a ways for Foster.

Meant to be: @ferrarifoster found this in his closet when he got home after his visit to the Bay. #brickbybrick pic.twitter.com/c7btRB7opP
