Golden Nuggets: 49ers move on from Tramaine Brock after arrest

Sunday, April 9th, 2017 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Good morning folks. The San Francisco 49ers released cornerback Tramaine Brock, not long after I took a look at the cornerback position itself ... and I don’t think it’s going to matter much. Brock was in line to start in 2017, for sure, but it was definitely time to shift him out and give the younger guys a chance to sink or swim.

Brock, though, isn’t released because of his age or anything like that. He’s released because he’s been arrested under suspicion of domestic violence. I fully support teams releasing players in this situation so at this point, we’ll move on from Brock without looking back.

The cornerback position should be very interesting, especially if the 49ers feel the need to address it in the NFL Draft. Anyway, we’re just going to get on with your links for the day. Enjoy.
