The biggest news the last couple of days has been the interest of the Seattle Seahawks in talking to Colin Kaepernick to fill their backup QB role. Colin has reportedly received zero interest from the teams in the NFL until the Seahawks expressed interest. Seattle coach Pete Carroll is looking at all options to fill the role of Russell Wilson’s backup and Colin could be a good fit.
One person who says Colin is ready to play is his trainer according to MMQB’s Peter King, who spoke with his trainer. Colin has been working out in New York City since January, according to his trainer Josh Hidalgo. There have been rumors that Colin is not committed to playing football and that he would rather do social work. But Josh says he’s ready for football and fully committed. I think Colin will eventually get a backup spot. If he’s fully committed, he will get looks and interest from teams. He’s definitely better than a lot of the current backups and available free agents in the league.
