Good morning everyone. Things have slowed down for the San Francisco 49ers and the rest of the league. Training camp is right around the corner, which means exciting things are coming — but also we now know that things are going to creep along at a snail’s pace. We know exactly how long until things of interest happen, and like staring at the clock, it’s not going to come along quickly enough.
Kyle Shanahan will have his shot at coaching an NFL training camp for the very first time and it’s the first time we’ll get to see some of the more interesting training camp battles. I’m particularly interested in seeing what happens at the strong safety position, myself. Eric Reid has everything it takes to be a top safety in the league, but Jaquiski Tartt is young and hungry.
