The San Francisco 49ers are back at OTAs, which means full offense vs. defense drills. More importantly, it means we start to see which rehabbing players are able to run through full drills vs. just individual drills.
Linebacker NaVorro Bowman appears to be pretty much all the way back from his torn Achilles. Bowman tore the Achilles October 2 against the Dallas Cowboys, and has been rehabbing ever since. He has been a full participant in the offseason workout program, and we have some video proof of it!
The 49ers Studio crew mic’d up Bowman for practice earlier this week, and you can watch it above. We see him moving around and looking pretty spry at this point. He breaks up some passes and makes some tackles. We even get to see a little dancing later in practice.
Bowman seems to be good to go as far as his leg is concerned. It was his second major injury in three years, and his durability is certainly something that has to be considered moving forward. But if he is good to go when Week 1 arrives, the 49ers will have a key cog in place as they re-build what turned into an atrocious defense last season.
