After what was reported as a positive visit with the Seahawks, former San Francisco 49er Colin Kaepernick still remains unsigned. Director Spike Lee, who is a friend of the quarterback reported otherwise in a now deleted Instagram post. SB Nation captured a screen shot of it before it disappeared.
The report was quickly refuted by Seattle Times beat writer Bob Condotta and Lee deleted his Instagram.
Despite a report to the contrary, the Seahawks have not signed Colin Kaepernick. He visited Thursday, but nothing has happened since.

While landing in Seattle seems like the most logical scenario for Kaepernick, no announcement has been made yet. The Seattle’s back up quarterback position doesn’t have much depth to it at this point and Kaepernick would provide at least a more viable option for the NFC West team if something were to happen to starter Russell Wilson. Currently Seattle has two back ups listed on the roster, second year quarterbacks Trevone Boykin from Texas Christian and Miami’s Jake Heaps.
