49ers to stream State of the Franchise event with Jed York, John Lynch, Kyle Shanahan, others

The 49ers will offer a live stream Wednesday evening.

The San Francisco 49ers are hosting an intriguing event on Wednesday, May 31. They will host a "2017 State of the Franchise" event that will serve as a “town hall style event [for] fans to hear directly from the 49ers football and business leadership staff.”

CEO Jed York, general manager John Lynch, head coach Kyle Shanahan, and team president Al Guido are among the planned speakers. A variety of veterans will be in attendance, but there is no word if any of them will speak. The 49ers are describing the event will as, “a comprehensive update on all aspects of the organization as the team prepares for the 2017 season.”

Tickets for the event went out only to season-ticket holders, but everybody will be able to watch it online. The event will be streamed live on 49ers.com, the 49ers official mobile app, Facebook Live, and on the 49ers official Periscope account. It will begin at 7:30 p.m. PT. Jennifer Chan will be on hand, and we’ll have an open thread for the event.
