Golden Nuggets: A non-football weekend

Your San Francisco 49ers links for Saturday, June 10th, 2017

So I could talk about the Elvis Dumervil signing tonight, but that’s old news. I could bring up how I’m super optimistic and happy about the 49ers’ future, but I’ve done that the last five weeks.

No, there’s two things to discuss that aren’t football related.

First: The Warriors game. That might have been the worst basketball game I’ve ever watched. Credit due to the Cleveland Cavaliers for ripping one of the best scores in NBA Finals history, but only a team led by LeBron James would be the focal point in records, greatness, and anything else, despite the fact they are down 3-1 in the series and outclassed.

That officiating was horrible. For a second I thought the 49ers were taking the field with Jim Harbaugh as coach again. It was that bad. The refs don’t know what a foul is, can’t be competent when needed, and are letting this series get out of hand. Then again, I’m probably asking too much out of a league that doesn’t even know what traveling is. Either way, the series is going back to Oakland where I’d hope the Warriors put an end to all of this and risk any more embarrassment like last year. This series was ended on Wednesday, let the confetti fly in hometown.

And the second thing? Happy E3 everybody (you knew this was coming)! All the fun starts this weekend. Yeah, I’m pretty much yawning over that. The Electronic Entertainment Expo (or E3) was once Disneyland for gamers. Now I couldn’t care less. I think Super Mario Odyssey is all I can get excited for. Nothing else. Am I really supposed to get excited over another FIFA title or Madden 18? No. I’m not. I yearn for the days we had a sentence for the Sony PlayStation at $299 or people losing everything at the screenshots of a new Zelda.

Ok, let’s go back to football. Here’s some 49ers links.
