Golden Nuggets: Offense Wins Tuesday’s Practice

Tuesday’s minicamp practice is the 2nd to last practice until training camp in July. The 49ers offense reportedly had their best day after having a rough time through most of OTAs. A couple of big plays were the product of play action. Brian Hoyer hit long passes to Marquise Goodwin and George Kittle. Play action will likely be a big part of the 49ers offense this season. They do not have the greatest WRs, but their running backs should be productive and they should cause enough problems that could open up the play action.

New 49er Elvis Dumervil will not practice this week. He is learning the playbook and will be ready for training camp. He will get his chance to play on the defensive line and make an impact. Rookie Reuben Foster did not take part in team drills. He did partake in individual drills. It will be exciting to see what he can do next to NaVorro Bowman in the middle of the defense when given reps.

The 49ers announced the Bill Walsh NFL Diversity Coaching Fellows and it includes the 49ers 1st female assistant coach. Katie Sowers, who spent time last season with Kyle and the Atlanta Falcons, will spend the summer in Santa Clara.
