The San Francisco 49ers wrapped up minicamp and the offseason workout program on Thursday, and it appears they had a special guest on hand. John Lynch tweeted Thursday evening, thanking Jerry Rice, “for coming and delivering a powerful message to our team today.”

I don’t expect to see video of Rice’s message, but it’s great to see one of the veterans back meeting with the team. Charles Haley has been a regular, but the past couple offseasons, we have not seen a lot of former 49ers players in the building. Hopefully the roster overhaul is joined with a bit of a culture overhaul with regard to former players.
Rice was on hand to speak to the team, but also shot some video for the 49ers Museum. If you’re at the Museum this fall, let us know what Rice is involved in!
