In a recent interview, John Lynch talked about the San Francisco 49ers he’s most excited about and I think it’s an interesting list. Notably, he had some great things to say about Rashard Robinson, calling him a “No. 1 cornerback.” At this point, it looks like Robinson will win one of the starting spots at outside cornerback, but is that because he’s so good or because the 49ers have a talent vacuum at the position?
I still have some film study to do on Robinson, but I’ll be interested to see how serious he is as a starting cornerback. It’s dangerous to fall into the training camp hype and of course, Lynch is going to speak with some form of hyperbole when talking about players on the 49ers.
I’m really interested to hear what ya’ll think. Is Robinson the real deal, or is this just training camp hype? I’ll get to your links while you type your comment.
