The Solomon Thomas offseason tour of all-time great pass rushers continued on Thursday. Two days after Warren Sapp posted some pictures of a workout the two men had, Solomon Thomas posted a picture heading into the “Von Miller Pass Rush Summit.”

Miller set up the pass rush summit to meet up with some of the rising starts in the NFL. Although they’re all competing against each other during the season, in the offseason, many of them seem comfortable helping each other get better. Miller owns a home in the Bay Area, and previously had invited Vic Beasley out there.
It would appear that Thomas wrangled an invite to the event. This marks the fourth notable current or former pass rusher Thomas has worked with since the 49ers drafted him. He got a chance to work with Charles Haley at rookie minicamp shortly after the draft. He also worked out with DeMarcus Ware in Dallas in May, and then had the workout with Sapp this week. DeForest Buckner, Arik Armstead, Eli Harold, and Ronald Blair are headed to Hawaii soon to work with Michael Bennett. They mentioned Thomas was invited, so we’ll see what comes of that.
Thomas has only been able to work out at the 49ers facility for a few days, covering rookie minicamp in May, and then one day of mandatory minicamp in June. And yet, thankfully he’s had the motivation to figure out other ways to get work in, beyond just studying the playbook and watching practice film on his iPad. It remains to be seen how all this will translate in the NFL, but he’s doing important work to prepare.
