New San Francisco 49ers kicker Robbie Gould is enjoying his time off before training camp, but he is not skipping out on workout opportunities. Gould is an avid golfer, and is at Lake Tahoe for the American Century Championship golf tournament. The ACC has a celebrity component to it, and all sorts of professional athletes are in the mix.
Gould is taking part, and on Thursday, he posted some pretty ridiculous video from the 7th hole. I missed it at first, but in the distance, check out the guy with his arms held up as wide as he can. This is pretty impressive.

There are a couple highlights to this video, aside from his impressive kick. The first is the person who yells “That’s my kicker!” The second is the random dude with the bucket hat the odd looking quasi-beard that goes from mustache to his ears, without going down to his chin. I don’t know what it’s called, but it’s pretty funky looking. And it really just makes the whole video that much better.
And in case you’re wondering, yes, Gould is getting in some physical training to go along with his random field goal kicks on the golf course. Here’s some video of him running a hill.
