Fooch’s update: Tickets are available here.

The San Francisco 49ers kick off training camp this Thursday, but today is a big day for Bay Area 49ers fans. The team is hosting an open practice on Saturday, August 5th, and today, ticket are open to the general public.

Tickets for the practice are $5 (proceeds go to the 49ers foundation), and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Children under 6 do not need a ticket. The 49ers are going to provide a link for people to purchase them, and we’ll get that in here once we see it. But make sure and keep an eye on the 49ers Twitter account, as they will also tweet it out. You can open that account even if you’re not on Twitter.

The open practice will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. PT. It will feature a select menu of free food and beverages available to all fans in attendance. The complimentary offerings include stadium staples such as hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, pizza, nachos, popcorn, peanuts, pretzels, water, coffee, and soft drinks. You’ll be allowed to select four free items per person, per concession stand visit. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.

If you get a ticket, it will also include free entry into the 49ers Museum. That includes the Edward J. DeBartolo, Sr. 49ers Hall of Fame and the Edward J. DeBartolo, Jr. Super Bowl Gallery. The 49ers Team Store will also be open to all fans at Gate A. For kids age seven to 14, the 49ers Youth Football Program will be hosting a skills and drills camp, as well as a Relay Race for the youngest fans.
