San Francisco 49ers DeForest Buckner spent much of his off time this past month near his home town of Waianae on the island of Oahu. Before he left for the mainland and the start of training camp, he gave the local kids to an opportunity to work with him and his fellow linemen at his first annual youth football camp. There were approximately 200 kids from ages 7-14 in attendance that had the opportunity to get one-on-one time with their local pro hero.
It was the third camp that Buckner and fellow lineman Arik Armstead participated in during the break. Armstead held his own camp in his hometown of Sacramento and both also helped coach the kids at Seattle Seahawks’ lineman Michael Bennett’s camp in Hawaii, along with Eli Harold and Ronald Blair.
Here are some additional pictures I was able to get at the camp.
