Top 49ers player in Madden 18 ratings is an ‘offensive weapon’

And Tim Hightower is apparently a decent kicker.

EA Sports is releasing Madden NFL 18 at the end of August, but ratings are already being released and leaked out. EA will unveil different ratings over the course of the next month, but the folks at Madden School are all over the ratings. You can view the entire list of San Francisco 49ers ratings here.

We learned earlier this week that Solomon Thomas got a 79 rating, and Reuben Foster received a 76 rating. Thomas’ best ratings are a 97 for injury and an 88 for toughness. My favorite Thomas rating is his 83 for speed. People need to move him back to the kick and punt return units, right?

The highest rated player on the 49ers roster is fullback Kyle Juszczyk. He received a 91 overall rating. He has an 89 for stamina, 87 for toughness, 84 for trucking, and 81s for ball carrier vision and stiff arm.

Some random notes about the 49ers ratings:

  • Marquise Goodwin is the fastest at 95. He is followed by Rashard Robinson, Prince Charles Iworah, and Raheem Mostert at 93.
  • The lowest rated player is long snapper Kyle Nelson, with Mostert the lowest rated non-special teams player.
  • Jeremy Zuttah, Joe Staley, and Pierre Garçon topped the awareness rating, at 92.
  • NaVorro Bowman topped the tackling rating (92), and was the highest rated defensive player with an 88 rating.
  • Naturally Robbie Gould (94) and Bradley Pinion (91) lead in kicking power, but the third highest rated in kicking power is Tim Hightower at 74. He also is third with accuracy of 65. After that, everyone is 30 or less. This is random, and my favorite thing about this year’s Madden ratings.
