Jimmie Ward seen doing sprints on a side practice field

This may mean the hamstring pull Ward had in his conditioning isn’t as serious as it could have been

Breathe a sigh of relief. Especially after you read this:

Jimmie Ward was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list (PUP) after a hamstring injury. He was listed as week-to-week and there wasn’t much more to go on besides that. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said placing Ward on the list was simply a precaution to not aggravate anything.

If Ward is sprinting up and down the sidelines, it’s definitely inspiring to expect him back sooner rather than later. Hamstring sprains and pulls make running an absolute chore and depending on the severity, hinder you to only a walk.

Ward’s not off the list yet, and hamstring injuries take time—even minor ones, but knowing this, it’s hopefully just a matter of time before we see him back on the field in regular practice. Kyle Shanahan will probably have more information during his press conference today.
