49ers depth chart 2017: Adjusting for Jeremy Zuttah’s release

The San Francisco 49ers released their second depth chart of the preseason Tuesday afternoon. The depth chart is compiled by the 49ers communication staff, and while the coaching staff sometimes provides input, it is still primarily a PR device.

The only notable change compared to last week is the removal of center Jeremy Zuttah. The 49ers released him the day after announcing their first depth chart. They bumped up John Flynn to backup center, but he is not the backup center. In the team’s preseason opener, Tim Barnes was the center who came on after Daniel Kilgore. Flynn was on the second team, but he came in at left guard. Erik Magnuson got some center snaps as well.

Here is the full depth chart provided by the 49ers.
