It was not a pretty evening of football for many members of the San Francisco 49ers, but rookie wide receiver and returner Victor Bolden made a big play. Bolden took a fourth quarter kick 104 yards to the house to score a touchdown and cut the Broncos lead to 33-14.
Bolden is in a huge battle for a roster spot, competing with Kendrick Bourne, DeAndre Smelter, and others. A big kick return helps, and even if he does not make the 49ers roster, it could help land him a spot on another roster via waivers.
One play should not make or break things, but given how tough the competition is, maybe it comes down to something like this catching an eye. What do you think?
