49ers depth chart 2017: Not much changes, but changes will be coming

Here’s a full depth chart as the 49ers prepare for Week 3.

The San Francisco 49ers’ third preseason game week is officially underway, and the team will return to practice on Wednesday. Kyle Shanahan will meet with the media on Wednesday, and hopefully we’ll find out more about Jimmie Ward’s status at that point.

In the meantime, the 49ers PR team announced the latest depth chart. Nothing appears to have changed from last week’s. It was released after the signing of Leger Douzable and Andrew Lauderdale, and the team has held steady since. The depth chart is compiled by the communications staff, and while coaches can make contributions, it is mostly a PR device.

I suspect barring roster cuts, this depth chart will remain the same next week. It will make for fascinating consideration when the team cuts to 53 players. I suspect at least a couple players at the bottom of this depth chart will be making the roster. I mean, Vinnie Sunseri is still listed ahead of Lorenzo Jerome. We know how that is playing out.

Who do you see further down the depth chart surprising and securing a roster spot over players further up on this?
