49ers-Vikings preseason media schedule: Kyle Shanahan, Brian Hoyer, player availability

The 49ers begin their third preseason game week.

The San Francisco 49ers are into their next game week, and return to practice on Wednesday. The team is moving into the more traditional Wednesday-Thursday-Friday game week for the back half of the preseason schedule, and that means adjustments to media availability.

The team will practice each day, but only individual work will be open to the media. During training camp, media could stay for all of team drills, and while they could not record video, they could report on what they saw. The start of the regular season practice schedule removes that option.

The week opens on Wednesday with Kyle Shanahan meeting the media at 12:15 p.m. PT. That is followed by Brian Hoyer, and then an open locker room for 45 minutes. The team will start practice at 1:20 p.m.

Thursday brings defensive coordinator Robert Saleh at 12:30 p.m., followed by open locker room and then a 1:35 p.m. practice. On Friday, the team will have practice at 11:45 a.m., then Kyle Shanahan meeting the media at approximately 1 p.m., and then an open locker room. The team will not have media availability on Saturday as they travel to Minnesota.

We’ll have live streams and open threads for all the Shanahan/Saleh media availability.
