What the heck? We have John Lynch saying he thinks Eric Reid is a better athlete than Kam Chancellor. We have Robert Saleh saying Tank Carradine is “damn near elite” as a six technique. We also have Saleh saying that Bowman “has no deficiencies”. We even have Eli Harold fighting Brooks for a starting position. Even Aaron Lynch has played well when given a chance. I thought the carry over players were not suppose to be good enough to be on the team? It would be nice if we did not have to use draft picks to replace any of these guys next year.
It is nice to see Ward and Buckner are back from injuries. We may be able to put together a fairly decent defense after all. It is also good to see that Ahkello Witherspoon is improving. The unicorns gathering beneath the rainbow is a good sign. We can use all of the unicorns and rainbows we can get. I personally have fingers crossed on both hands. Maybe I am too optimistic because I still have no idea how the 49ers are going to do this season. I don’t think anyone is even close to knowing until we play that first real game of the season.
