Fooch’s update: Looks like the Dolphins dodged a bullet.

Well, it looks like another quarterback job could open up sooner rather than later. Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill suffered a non-contact leg injury in practice Thursday morning.

There is no word yet on the severity of it, but non-contact injuries can be problematic. It could just be a sprained ankle or something, but oftentimes we hear about Achilles injuries when it comes to non-contact stuff. We’ll update with more information as it comes available.
If this is as bad as it often is with non-contact injuries, the Dolphins could be in search of a new quarterback. Stephen Ross was vocally supportive of his players who chose to take a knee, and has put money towards his Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE). On the other hand, his history of donations is primarily to the Republican party. And I also just came across this video in which he seemed to say it makes sense to sign a guy like Kaepernick if he can help you win.
Who knows where things will shake out, but for the time being, I’ll just leave this here.
