49ers training camp recap, Aug 2-5: All the practice reports, press conferences, transactions & more

The 49ers head into their first game week. Time to assess more recaps and press conferences!

The San Francisco 49ers wrapped up their eighth practice of training camp on Saturday, opening it up to the public at Levi’s Stadium. The team has Sunday off, and suddenly we find ourselves heading into the first game week of the preseason! The offseason has been over for a week and a half, but this is still pretty big.

Earlier this week, the 49ers had an off-day following their first four days of practice. We put together a link dump of all the beat writer reports, press conference videos, and more. The idea was to make it easy for everybody to take a look at all the information that had accumulated since the first day of camp.

Reading over what each writer had to say about each day, and how their thoughts on players transition can be helpful. And you can always look at all the reports from a given day to see what each writer had to say about a particular player.

We’re back with it again before the 49ers return to practice on Monday. I’ve also posted links to video or audio of all the player and coach press conferences we’ve seen so far.
