The San Francisco 49ers ugly performance in Week 1 is quickly reflecting on their odds for Week 2. There are three games remaining to close out the NFL’s opening week, but we already have early lines for Week 2. The 49ers have opened as 13 point underdogs when they head on the road to face the Seattle Seahawks, according to Odds Shark.

Over the weekend, Cantor Gaming released some look-ahead lines for Week 2. They provide a preliminary look and are then impacted by Week 1 performances. In this case, the 49ers were listed as an 11.5-point underdog. We don’t know if other oddsmakers had that line in mind, but it is still noteworthy.

The Seahawks lost 17-9 to the Green Bay Packers this week. It was a defensive battle throughout, with the Seahawks offense struggling to get anything going. Russell Wilson led the Seahawks with 40 rushing yards, while Chris Carson was tops among running backs with 39. The Seahawks defense made some big plays, but there was simply no margin for error.

The 49ers got beat 23-3 by the Panthers, and looked pretty bad throughout. The biggest problems were too many mental mistakes, and poor play from the offensive line. They cannot afford that in general, and especially so up in Seattle this coming week.

Can they cover the 13 point spread?
