Fooch’s update: Welp, Cris Collinsworth did not in fact pick the 49ers.
So, uh, in the interest of honestly, Cris picked Seattle. I entered it at the same time as my pick on the spreadsheet we use. Not ideal.

Well, this is certainly ... interesting? Pro Football Focus posted their Week 2 NFL picks, and NFL announcer and major PFF investor Cris Collinsworth is one of two people there picking the San Francisco 49ers to upend the Seattle Seahawks up at CenturyLink Field. He is joined in his prediction by Gordon McGuinness. Here’s PFF’s full list of picks.

I’m all for a big upset, but that’s a pretty bold pick. The 49ers have not beaten the Seahawks since December 8, 2013, and have not won a game in Seattle since December 24, 2011. Fun fact, I was in attendance for that win. I’d say that means I should get out there, but I was also in attendance for the 49ers ugly 31-6 2010 season-opening loss in Seattle. So, I’ll just stay home.
I’ll be rounding up media picks and predictions later this week, but I don’t expect to see many 49ers picks. We might see some against the spread, but even I am not sure if I can be comfortable picking the 49ers against the spread. I will certainly make the pick and the argument for that pick, but I won’t be picking a 49ers upset in my SuperContest picks this week.
What would it take for the 49ers to swing an upset up in Seattle?
