49ers injury report: George Kittle remains on the list, like last week

The 49ers injury report does not include any notable surprises.

The San Francisco 49ers wrapped up their first practice of the week earlier this afternoon, and with that comes the first practice participation report of the week. There were no real surprises on this one.

DNP: LB Reuben Foster (ankle), OT Joe Staley (not injury related)
Limited: TE George Kittle (hamstring), FS Jimmie Ward (hamstring)

The 49ers listed Kittle as limited all last week, and then questionable heading into the game. However, he played in 95 percent of the offensive snaps, and finished with five receptions for 27 yards. Shanahan said late in the week he expected Kittle to play, and it would seem like that will continue into Week 2. Hamstrings can be tricky, so it makes sense not to push it too hard during practice.

Aaron Lynch was removed from the injury report after spending last week listed as limited with a back injury. He was questionable heading into the game, and while he ended up inactive, head coach Kyle Shanahan said it was a coaches’ decision based on roster needs, and not because of his injury. We’ll see if that changes this week after last week’s rather anemic pass rush.
