Golden Nuggets: Look Folks, We Hung Tough in Seattle

New, comments

A daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers news from around the net. Monday, September 18th, 2017 edition.

NFL: San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports

As the fearless leader of this here website often preaches, “all we need is just a little patience” (although, I personally can’t stand Duff McKagan, but that’s for another day), and that’s certainly a worthwhile mantra for a day like today. At the end of the day, Seattle was supposed to win by 14, and we held them to less than their expected margin of victory. We weren’t supposed to win, but our boys put together an admirable effort.

I saw what you folks all saw yesterday - a sign of life on defense, Hyde putting the team on his shoulders, and an unforgettably poor performance from the QB that was supposed to provide low-ceiling-but-high-floor stability to the team. With all said and done, the team kept it close, and while the W would’ve been as sweet as can be, the silver linings here are worth stepping back from the ledge.
